PSU Cycling Membership Levels
We have two membership levels at PSU Cycling, Club Member and Racer Member.
-The Club Membership Level is geared towards recreational riders that are not necessarily interested in racing but enjoy the company of other cyclists.
-The Racer Membership Level is geared towards anyone that is interested in racing their bike at the collegiate level in the upcoming season. Experience is not necessary, most of us did our first bike race in college.
Both of these membership levels require annual dues before you receive any benefits but anyone is welcome to come on rides as long as you fill out a waiver card (pick one up from the ride leader or at a club meeting).

Requirements
-Only full time* students may join at this membership level. USA Cycling requires that all collegiate cycling participants be enrolled as a full time student as defined by their institution. At PSU that means 12 credits for undergrads and 9 credits for grads.
-Membership dues are $30 annually and are good from october to october next year.
-Racer Members must provide proof of their USA Cycling collegiate racing license. Because these expire December 31 each year, new racers can still receive Racer Benefits by signing a waiver stating that they will purchase one ASAP after the new year.
*If you are part time now but will be full time Spring quarter, then you are still eligible for Racer Membership.
How to join
1. Subscribe to the email list.
2. Attend monthly team meetings. They happen on the first tuesday of the month in the Rec Sports Office, SMSU 047 (Basement of Smith Memorial Student Union, next to the bowling alley).
3. Pay your annual dues ($30), fill out/sign a waiver card and code of conduct.
If you are intersted in collegiate racing, you'll need to buy a USA Cycling racing license. Buy your license online.
That's it, once you are all signed up and on the roster you can start taking advantage of your benefits.
How to pay Club Dues
Pay at a general meeting (usually first tuesday of every month) or contact the officers at cycling @ pdx.edu to about office hours if you can't make the meetings.
Please make out checks to "PSU Cycling" and give it to one of PSU Cycling's executive officers (Peter Welte, Leandra Paasch, Ellene Smith, Miles Crumley, Suzie Nelson), or Lacey Burt-Abram (treasurer).
The official roster will be updated every week or two as people pay their dues so please check to see that your name is there. Send an email to cycling[at]pdx.edu with questions.
